Fantastic, likely best of species (!!) specimen of the extremely rare uranium mineral Shinkolobweite, occuring as abundant brown to tan crystals to ~2 mm. associated with Becquerelite, Billietite, and Wolsendorfite on massive uraninite matrix from the iconic Shinkolobwe Mine, Shinkolobwe, Kambove Territory, Haut-Katanga, DR Congo. This has been analyzed by XRD and EDX. A superlative specimen of one of the most rare and hard-to-obtain secondary uranium minerals from Shinkolobwe! Ex. Eric Quinter Collection. Very rare!!
